Originating from my childhood fascination with folding intricate animals inspired from library origami books, this series has become my most beloved and popular series of work. Each painting evokes the joy I had from creating miniature dioramas, capturing the whimsical essence and nostalgia that I'm delighted to share with collectors.
A guide to commissioning a Bespoke origami painting
1. Choose Your Inspiration
Explore my collection for inspiration or suggest an origami animal that resonates with you. Let me know your preferred colors, size specifications, and any additional objects you envision incorporating into the artwork.
2. Assessment and Quotation
I will assess your request to ensure feasibility. If I can fold the desired origami animal, I'll provide you with a quote and timeframe for completion. Please note, if I can't fold the animal, I won't proceed with painting it as I use real sources (no AI or Google images).
3. Confirmation and Agreement
Upon agreeing to move forward, I will send you an artist agreement detailing the project scope, timeline, and cost breakdown. A 20% deposit is required to secure your commission slot. Please note, I limit the number of commissions I take on each year.
4. Composition Approval
Before starting the painting, I will photograph a composition for your approval or make any desired changes. This ensures that we are aligned on the layout and design before proceeding to the painting stage.
5. Progress Updates
Throughout the painting process, I will keep you updated with photos of the artwork's progress. This allows you to see how your commissioned piece evolves from concept to completion.
6. Completion & Final Approval
Once the painting is finished, I will send you a photograph of the completed artwork for your final approval. At this stage, the remaining balance is due before the artwork is prepared for shipping or collection.
